Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use MominSheikh.com, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or a right-to-left language.

Draft. This is a pre-launch statement. The bodies you can escalate to in each country and a dedicated contact address are still to be confirmed. Statement dated 2 October 2026.

Our commitment

The site is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, on every page, in every language we offer and on every screen size. There is no lower target for staff tools.

That is a target, not a result. We will not say the site conforms until an audit has shown that it does.

Status

Not assessed. Nothing is live yet and no accessibility audit has been carried out. There is no audit date, scope or method to report. Automated checks run on the public pages each time the site changes; they are not an audit.

What has been built in

These are design features, not test results:

  • a "Skip to main content" link as the first item on every page;
  • a visible focus outline, kept clear of the sticky header and cookie banner;
  • focus moves to the page heading when you go to a new page;
  • each page has its own title, and the enquiry, booking and sign-in forms have visible labels;
  • status changes are announced without moving focus;
  • animation stops when your device asks for reduced motion;
  • a light and a dark theme that follow your device, with a "Theme" setting at the foot of every page;
  • right-to-left layout for Urdu and Arabic, with Urdu set in Nastaliq.

Known limitations

  • Testing so far is automated only. An automated check and scripted keyboard journeys run on the public pages, in the light and the dark theme. They find only some kinds of barrier. No manual audit, screen-reader test or research with disabled people has been done, and the pages you see after signing in are not covered by the automated checks, so barriers we do not know about are likely. Planned fix: A first manual audit before staff use the platform, and a full audit before public release.
  • Most page text is in English only. In Urdu, Arabic and Portuguese the menus are translated but long page text, the policies and Momin OS are not, so a page can mix two languages. Planned fix: Each language is offered publicly only once its pages are fully translated and reviewed.
  • Downloadable documents are not verified. The programme's PDF documents have not been checked for tags or tested with a screen reader. Planned fix: Verify each PDF or publish an accessible web version beside it.
  • Charts and tables in Momin OS. Staff dashboards have not been checked for text alternatives to charts or for use at 400% zoom. Planned fix: Covered by the first audit.

Getting help another way

If a barrier stops you booking, enquiring or reading something, tell us and we will help you do it another way: a booking made for you, a document in another format, or help from a person. This never costs more than the normal service, and we will not ask for proof or details of a disability.

Report a barrier

Use this form, which needs no account, or the general contact form. We acknowledge every report, record it, fix it in order of how badly it blocks people, and tell you the outcome.

If you are not satisfied

You may have the right to complain to a public body in your country. We will name the body for each market here once our legal review has confirmed it.
