Policy
Refund, cancellation and subscription policy
What happens when you pay for something and later want to change it, cancel it or get your money back.
About this policy
This policy covers subscriptions and memberships, Momin OS plans for organisations, courses and digital content, consultations and other booked sessions, events, and anything else you buy through the website or the platform. It sits alongside our Terms of Service. In it, "we" means [operating company to be confirmed], which operates the MominSheikh.com Ecosystem, and "you" means the person or organisation that bought the offer.
What is on sale today. Only the founder's consulting, advisory and delivery services, each under a written agreement. For those, cancellation and refunds follow the agreement you sign, as described in Services engagements.
Your rights come first. The law of your country may give you rights that no policy can take away. This policy adds to those rights; it never reduces them. Where the law gives you more, the law applies.
Whatever you buy from us, four commitments apply:
- You will see the full price, including any tax, and the rules for cancelling and refunds, before you pay.
- Cancelling will be as easy as signing up.
- Anything you bought outright stays yours, whatever happens to a subscription or membership.
- If we cancel something you paid for, you can choose a replacement or your money back.
Subscriptions and memberships
Memberships and Momin OS plans renew automatically at the end of each period, for a period of the same length, unless you cancel before the renewal date. Your account always shows your next renewal date and the amount that will be charged.
For subscriptions of [period to be confirmed] or longer, such as annual ones, we remind you at least [reminder timing to be confirmed] before each renewal, with the date, the amount, the currency and how to cancel. If a free trial will become a paid subscription, we tell you the price before you start, remind you before it ends, and you can cancel during the trial without being charged.
| Change | When it takes effect | What you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade to a higher plan | When you confirm it | The difference for the rest of the current period, shown before you confirm |
| Downgrade to a lower plan | At the start of your next period | Nothing extra; you keep the higher plan until the period ends |
| Add seats or add-ons | When you confirm them | A share of the price for the rest of the period, shown before you confirm |
| Remove seats or add-ons | At the start of your next period | They remain paid to the end of the current period |
An organisation that downgrades keeps its records. Whether a subscription can be paused is stated on the offer's page [to be confirmed for each offer].
If a payment fails, we tell you and give you the chance to update your details. After a grace period of [grace period to be confirmed], a membership ends; a Momin OS plan is first restricted to reading and exporting, and only after further written notice suspended or moved to the Free plan. We never delete your content or your organisation's records because of a failed payment without first giving you notice and a chance to export them.
Price changes are announced at least [notice period to be confirmed] before they apply, never affect a period you have paid for, and can be refused by cancelling before they apply. A signed agreement with a fixed price keeps that price for its term.
Cancelling
You can cancel online, from your account, in the same place you manage the subscription. You do not need to call us, write to us or explain why. We may ask once, optionally, for the reason, and you may skip the question. We confirm the cancellation straight away, on screen and by message, with the date your access ends.
When you cancel, the subscription does not renew and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We may show you one offer to stay, such as a lower plan or a pause; you can decline it in one step, and declining it does not delay or complicate your cancellation.
For a Momin OS plan, the organisation's owner or a billing administrator can cancel, and the organisation can export its records before the plan ends. We charge no exit or switching fee for any plan. If you subscribed through an app store, you may need to cancel in the store's settings. Closing your account does not by itself cancel a subscription billed through a store or paid by an organisation: cancel it first.
Refunds for each kind of offer
Each offer shows its own rules on its page and at checkout, before you pay. The rules shown at checkout are the ones that apply to your purchase.
| Offer | Cancellation | Refund |
|---|---|---|
| Membership | Any time; access to the end of the paid period | No refund for a part-used period, except under your right to withdraw or where the law requires |
| Momin OS plan | Any time; access to the end of the paid period | No refund for a part-used period, except where your agreement or the law provides one |
| Course or digital content | Not applicable once purchased | Under your right to withdraw, or if it is faulty or withdrawn by us |
| Book, template or download | Not applicable once purchased | If faulty or not as described, or under your right to withdraw |
| Consultation or booked session | Within the offer's window | Full refund or credit as the offer states; if we cancel, your choice of a new time or a full refund |
| Session package | Unused sessions within the package's validity | The value of unused sessions, by the rule shown when you bought it |
| Event ticket | Within the event's window | As the event states; if we cancel or significantly change it, a new date or a full refund |
A subscription part-way through is refunded only under your right to withdraw, when we make a material change you do not accept, where your signed agreement provides a refund, or where the law of your market requires it. Session windows are [window to be set for each offer] and package refunds follow [package refund rule to be confirmed]. Credits can be used only for the offers they name and are not exchanged for cash except through an approved refund.
Your right to withdraw
Consumers in the European Union buying online normally have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason and receive a full refund; for a subscription, this applies to its first purchase. For digital content you start straight away, you lose that right once access begins, but only if you expressly asked for access within the 14 days and acknowledged that you lose the right. At checkout this is a separate choice, never ticked in advance. If you choose to wait, access starts when the 14 days end.
If you ask us to start a service before the 14 days end and then withdraw, you may pay for the part already provided. Sessions and events on a specific date may be treated differently [to be confirmed for each offer type].
Withdraw with the option in your account, or by telling us clearly at [official business email to be confirmed]. We refund without undue delay and in any case within 14 days, to the same payment method unless you agree otherwise, with no fee.
Consumers in Oman: the return and exchange policy for each offer is published on its page before you buy, and applies alongside this policy. Consumers in Pakistan have the rights given by the consumer protection law of their province or territory, which this policy does not limit.
Bookings, rescheduling and no-shows
You can reschedule or cancel a booking from the link in your confirmation or from your account, within the window the offer allows. If we cancel, or the host does not attend, you choose a new time or a full refund. If you do not join within [grace period to be set for each offer] of the start and have not told us, the session may be recorded as a no-show, and the offer's rules decide what follows.
Book a consultation to see the rules for the session you choose.
Services engagements
Consulting, advisory and delivery services are provided under a written agreement and a statement of work. Cancellation, refunds and any deposit are governed by that agreement, which you see and sign before any work starts.
A project normally begins with a deposit at signature and is billed by milestones, so you never pay far ahead of the work. Whether a deposit is refundable is stated in your agreement. If we end an engagement other than for a reason the agreement allows, you will not be charged for work not yet done, and any payment made in advance for it is returned.
How refunds are made
Refunds are paid through the licensed payment provider to the method you used, or by bank transfer to an account in the name of whoever paid. A refund is in the currency you paid in, and a full refund includes any tax charged. Your bank may apply its own exchange rate or fees.
We issue an approved refund within [period to be confirmed], or any shorter period the law requires, and tell you when we have. The access the payment created then ends. For offers from instructors or vendors on the platform, you ask us for the refund, not the provider.
Faults, disputes and complaints
If something is faulty, does not work as described or is not what was shown before you paid, we put it right, replace it or refund you, as the law of your market requires. We may refuse a refund this policy and the law do not provide for, or limit refunds where there is evidence of misuse or fraud; this never limits a right the law gives you.
If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first at [official business email to be confirmed]. If you dispute a payment with your bank, the access that payment created may be paused while the dispute is open. Complaints about a refund or cancellation are acknowledged, investigated and answered in writing within [complaint response period to be confirmed]; you may then take them to a consumer body or court in your country.
Changes and contact
A change to this policy applies to purchases made after it is published, and never reduces a right you already have for an earlier purchase or a period you have paid for. Questions go to the help centre or to [official business email to be confirmed], or use the contact page.
