Guidelines

Acceptable use and community guidelines

The same rules apply to everyone: visitors, members, business customers, moderators and our own team.

Draft. These guidelines are awaiting legal review and will form part of the Terms of Service. The minimum age, the time limits for reviews and any additions a country's law requires are still to be confirmed. Communities and messaging are not open yet; they will open only when the reporting, moderation and appeal tools described here exist.

Why we have these guidelines

MominSheikh.com exists to help people learn, build businesses and work together. That only works if people can trust each other and the platform. These guidelines apply wherever you use our services: enquiries and bookings, the client portal, Momin OS, the assistant and, when they open, communities, messages, courses and events.

1. Be respectful and keep people safe

  1. Do not harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone, and do not encourage others to do so.
  2. Do not attack or demean people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any similar characteristic.
  3. Do not threaten or promote violence, and do not praise or support violent or terrorist organisations.
  4. Do not share content that encourages or instructs self-harm or suicide. If you are worried that someone is at immediate risk, contact your local emergency services.
  5. Do not post sexually explicit content. Content that sexualises or endangers children is never allowed; we remove it, preserve the evidence and report it to the authorities where the law requires.
  6. Respect people's choices: if someone blocks you, mutes you or asks you to stop contacting them, stop.

2. Be honest about who you are

  1. Do not impersonate another person, organisation or member of our team, and do not mislead people about who you are or who you represent.
  2. Do not present yourself, or AI output, as Momin Sheikh, and do not claim to speak for MominSheikh.com unless you are authorised to.
  3. Do not run fake accounts, or use several accounts to get round a restriction, manipulate votes or reviews, or make something look more popular than it is.
  4. If you are paid or rewarded to promote something, say so clearly.

3. Share only what is lawful and yours to share

  1. Do not use our services to break the law or help anyone else break it.
  2. Do not post content that infringes someone else's copyright, trade marks or other rights. Share course materials, books and other paid content only as their licence allows.
  3. Do not post false or misleading information that could cause harm, including false claims about products, health, finance or elections, and do not post fraudulent offers or scams.
  4. Do not offer, sell or promote illegal goods or services, or goods and services that our terms do not allow.

4. Respect other people's privacy

  1. Do not share someone's personal information, such as their contact details, address, identity documents or private messages, without a lawful reason and, where needed, their permission.
  2. Do not collect or scrape personal information from our services, and do not use it to contact people who have not agreed to hear from you.
  3. Do not record a meeting or call without the consent the meeting requires, and do not share a recording outside the purpose it was made for.
  4. Take care with what you post in shared spaces: anyone with access to that space may see it.

5. No spam or manipulation

  1. Do not send spam, unsolicited bulk messages or repetitive content.
  2. Do not use our enquiry, messaging or community features for unsolicited marketing.
  3. Do not use links, tricks or automation to mislead people or to manipulate rankings, reach, reviews or engagement.

6. Keep the platform secure

  1. Do not upload malware or anything designed to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to systems or data.
  2. Do not probe, scan, test or overload our services, or try to get round security, usage limits or access controls, except to report a weakness responsibly as described below.
  3. Do not share your account or let others use your credentials.

If you find a security weakness, tell us through the contact page until a dedicated disclosure channel is published. Do not access more data than you need to show the problem, do not disrupt the service, and give us a reasonable time to fix it before you tell anyone else.

7. Use AI features responsibly

  1. Do not try to make an AI feature reveal information you are not entitled to see or act outside your permissions, including by hiding instructions in documents or messages it will read.
  2. Do not use AI features to create content that breaks these guidelines, including synthetic images, audio or video of real people without their consent.
  3. Do not present AI output as the words or views of Momin Sheikh or of any real person without clear disclosure.
  4. Do not use AI output as the only basis for a decision about a person's employment, credit, education, housing, insurance or legal position.
  5. Check AI output before you rely on it or share it: it is a draft for you to review, not advice.

What we commit to on our side is set out in the Responsible AI policy.

8. Business customers and developers

  1. If your organisation uses Momin OS, you are responsible for how your users use it and for making sure they follow these guidelines.
  2. You must have a lawful basis for the personal data you put into Momin OS, give the notices and obtain the consents the law requires, and use contact data only for the purposes it was collected for.
  3. Do not use Momin OS to send unsolicited marketing or to hold data you are not permitted to hold.
  4. Use our APIs only with credentials issued to you and within the permissions and limits they carry; do not scrape, bulk-export or resell data, and keep credentials secret.

Children

Our services are designed for adults, entrepreneurs, professionals and businesses, and are not directed at children. The minimum age for an account will be stated here once confirmed for each country. If you believe a child is using our services or is at risk, report it and we will treat the report as urgent.

Reporting, action and review

Today you can report anything that breaks these guidelines through the contact page; you do not need an account. A report control on each post, message and profile will be added before communities open.

A person on our team decides what to do. The response is graded to fit what happened:

ActionWhen we may take it
WarningA first or minor breach
Label or added contextContent is borderline or could mislead without context
Hide or limit reachContent may break the rules while we review it
Remove contentContent breaks the law or these guidelines
Restrict featuresRepeated breaches
Temporary suspensionSerious or repeated breaches
Permanent banThe most serious breaches; needs two members of our team to agree

If we act on your content or account, we tell you what we did, which rule it relates to and how to ask for a review, unless the law prevents it or telling you would put someone at risk. No one is ever silently restricted. A review is decided by a person who did not make the original decision, and asking for one does not affect any other right you have.

One standard everywhere

What is prohibited in one country is prohibited everywhere, unless a country's law requires a difference; any such difference will be published on this page. A rule that adds a prohibited category or becomes stricter is published here, with its date, before it is enforced.
