Membership tiers, joining and leaving, courses, cohorts, assignments and certificates, events, the community and its rules, AI in your membership, your privacy and organisation seats.
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| At launch | Planned for the platform's first public release |
| Planned | Planned for a later release; not available at launch |
| Later | Planned for a release after the member features open |
1. About this handbook
This handbook is for members and for everyone who learns through the ecosystem. It goes further than the getting started guide into what membership and learning involve.
Accounts and public content are planned for the first public release. Memberships, payments, courses, cohorts, events, certificates and the member community are planned for the release after that. Ask Momin and the AI course tutor are planned for a later release still.
2. Your membership
| Tier | What it is planned to include | How it is obtained |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Public content, a basic profile, the newsletter if you choose it, and read access to the community | Sign-up, no charge |
| Premium | Everything in Free, plus premium articles and videos, the private community, member prices and, later, a more capable Ask Momin | Monthly or annual subscription |
| Professional | Everything in Premium, plus courses included while active, priority booking, professional resources and events | Monthly or annual subscription |
| Enterprise | Member benefits for a group, through seats an organisation assigns | An agreement priced per seat |
| Investor | Confidential investor material and meetings, within agreed limits | Verification and a signed agreement |
| Partner | Partner resources and material, within agreed limits | Verification and a signed agreement |
Members of paid tiers are planned to receive member prices, shown beside the standard price. You never need to enter a code: your membership decides the price you see.
No tier includes investment advice, a promise of business results or returns, or access to another member's personal information. Consultations with the founder are not unlimited in any tier. Investor and Partner access can never be bought at checkout.
What you can open is checked every time you open it. If you reach something you are not entitled to, you see its summary and the option to upgrade, enrol or ask to join, never an error and never part of the content.
3. Joining, renewing and leaving
- Step 1: Choose a tier
- Step 2: See full price and period
- Step 3: Accept terms
- Step 4: Pay through a licensed provider
- Step 5: Membership starts
Your card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored by MominSheikh.com. Agreeing to marketing is never a condition of joining.
No price has been set. When prices are published, they are shown in your market's currency, with tax as your market's law requires, with no hidden charges. A trial, if offered, is planned not to ask for payment details and to end without charging you.
Paid memberships are planned to renew automatically. Before an annual membership renews, you receive a reminder with the renewal date and price. You can move up a tier at any time and down at the end of a period.
You can cancel from your account settings in a few steps, without calling or writing to anyone. Your membership continues until the end of the period you paid for. In the European Union you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase; if you ask for access to start straight away, you are shown at checkout how that affects your right, and nothing is ticked for you in advance.
Anything you buy outright is yours to keep whatever happens to your membership. Your learning record, including progress, grades and certificates, stays with you in every case.
4. Your account, profile and dashboard
| On your dashboard | When |
|---|---|
| Account, profile, language and consent choices | At launch |
| Saved items and the topics and people you follow | Planned |
| Membership, renewals and receipts | Planned |
| Continue learning: the exact lesson and point where you stopped | Planned |
| Upcoming live sessions, events and appointments in one calendar | Planned |
| Notifications, messages and certificates | Planned |
Every field of your profile has its own visibility: public, members only, connections only or private. Reputation comes from accepted answers, helpful contributions, completed courses and verified expertise, never from your number of followers.
5. Courses and learning paths
| Format | How it works |
|---|---|
| Self-paced course | Recorded lessons and quizzes, taken at your own pace |
| Live course or masterclass | Scheduled live sessions with an instructor |
| Cohort or bootcamp | A group starting together, with a weekly rhythm, live sessions and mentors |
| Workshop or webinar | A single live session |
| Certification programme | A course with a graded assessment leading to a certificate |
| Mentorship programme | Sessions with a mentor, with goals and progress recorded |
| Learning path | A sequence of courses towards a larger goal |
| Corporate training | Seats bought by an organisation for its people |
Before you enrol, each course page shows what you will learn, the level, the format, the language, how long it takes, prerequisites, the outline, the instructor and reviews from verified learners. Whichever way you enrol, you land on your first lesson, not on a receipt.
Each lesson has its own rule for completion. You can return to the exact point where you stopped, and if your access ends, your record of what you completed remains.
6. Cohorts and live sessions
A cohort has a start date, a duration, a timetable of live sessions, mentors and a graduation. Live sessions appear in your calendar with reminders. When a session is recorded, you see a clear indicator, and the recording returns to the course library. Attendance is recorded, because some courses count it towards completion.
7. Assignments, quizzes and grading
Each quiz states its passing score, the number of attempts allowed and any time limit before you start.
- Step 1: Assigned
- Step 2: Started
- Step 3: Submitted
- Step 4: Under review
- Step 5: Graded
- Step 6: Returned with feedback
Assignments are graded by the instructor, or by peers where the course says so, against a rubric published with the assignment. AI may help an instructor, but never marks assessed work alone.
Work you submit must be your own. Each course states whether and how you may use AI tools; where AI is allowed, you say how you used it.
8. Certificates
A certificate shows a unique number, your name, the course, the instructor, the date and the credential, and links to a public verification page. That page shows only the minimum: that the certificate exists, for which course, issued to whom and when. Share the verification link rather than a screenshot.
9. Events and webinars
- Step 1: Register
- Step 2: Ticket and calendar entry
- Step 3: Confirmation
- Step 4: Reminders
- Step 5: Check in
- Step 6: Take part
- Step 7: Slides or recording afterwards
Events may be free, paid, by invitation, by approval or for members only. Each has a capacity, with a waiting list when full. If we change or cancel an event, we tell everyone registered and explain their options. The community guidelines apply at every event.
10. The community
| Guideline | In short |
|---|---|
| Be respectful and keep people safe | No harassment, threats, hate or abuse |
| Be truthful about who you are | No impersonation or fake accounts |
| Share only what is lawful and yours to share | Respect copyright and confidentiality |
| Respect other people's privacy | Do not share others' personal information |
| No spam or manipulation | No unsolicited selling, fake engagement or misleading links |
| Keep the platform secure | Do not try to break in, scrape or misuse access |
| Use AI features responsibly | Do not use AI to deceive or to produce harmful content |
| Children | The services are not directed at children |
The guidelines themselves prevail over this summary. You can report any post, comment, message, profile, event, review or AI answer. Urgent reports about someone's safety are reviewed by a person straight away. A person is accountable for every decision to act.
| Action | When it may be taken |
|---|---|
| Warning | A first or minor breach |
| Label or added context | Content that could mislead without context |
| Hide or limit reach | Content under review that may break the rules |
| Remove content | Content that breaks the law or the guidelines |
| Lock a discussion | A discussion that has become abusive or off-topic |
| Restrict features | Repeated breaches |
| Temporary suspension | Serious or repeated breaches |
| Permanent ban | The most serious breaches, agreed by two members of the team |
If action is taken, you are told what was done, which rule it relates to and whether automated tools were involved. A person who did not make the original decision reviews any appeal.
11. AI in your membership
Ask Momin and a course tutor are planned for a later release. AI features are always labelled, answer only from what you are allowed to see, show their sources, say when they do not know, and never present themselves as Momin Sheikh. They do not give legal, medical, financial or investment advice. You can always reach a person instead.
Your posts, submissions and messages are not used to train third-party AI models without your explicit agreement.
12. Notifications, privacy and security
For each kind of message you choose how you hear: straight away, in a digest, silently or not at all. Non-urgent messages are held overnight in your time zone. Security alerts, legal notices and payment confirmations cannot be switched off.
You can see, correct, download or delete your information. It is never sold and not shared with the founder's other businesses. Sharing an account is not allowed. If you notice a sign-in you do not recognise, change your password and tell us at once.
13. Membership through your organisation
Seats move from available, to assigned to you, to activated when you accept, and may later be released. Your organisation sees summary reports on how its seats are used, not your private community activity, messages or personal information beyond what its agreement and the Privacy Policy allow.
If your organisation releases your seat, you keep your account, your free membership, anything you bought yourself and your learning record.
14. Getting help
Contact the team through the contact page. Every request is read and answered by a person. The platform is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA; if anything stops you, tell us and we will help another way.
